Our Mission and Vision

"Our mission is rooted in the mission of Jesus, which continually unfolds in the people of God: 'that all may be one as You, God, are in me, and I in You; I pray that they may be one in us...' (John 17:21)"

Our Mission:
As Sisters of St. Joseph of Nazareth, Michigan, moved by profound love of God and neighbor, we live and work to draw all into union with God and with one another.

Our Vision:
With God as the center of our life and impelled by the Holy Spirit, we:

• Commit ourselves to a life in common for the sake of the mission
  

• Collaborate with others in identifying and responding to the needs of the global community
  

• Serve the neighbor, especially persons who are poor and persons who are marginalized, with inclusive loving care and concern
  

• Work for just structures and peace in our world
  

• Promote global consciousness that reverences the sacredness and interconnectedness of the universe
  

• Transform our world through reconciling love, fostering healing and wholeness within creation
